He served as FIRST robotics coach and mentor to three teams. He was a presenter at the 2008 FIRST Robotics World Championship at Atlanta, Georgia. He has completed four masters and a doctorate degree. His experience, while attempting to complete fifth and six masters degree in software engineering and electrical engineering respectively, influenced him to open The Open Robotics University. He strongly believe that future engineers should not be subjected to outdated text books and high cost tuition in this digital age. Any dedicated individual can receive high quality education via social media infrastructure such Google+.

Dr. Ramona Markoska majored in Electrical Engineering in Skopje. She is a Professor at Open Robotics University and Assistant Professor of programming at Faculty of Technical Sciences-Department of Informatics Sciences. Her interest in programming languages includes C, C++, C# and RobotC. She will teach the advanced C++ programming for robots and server as advisor for robotics projects at Open Robotics University. The course is scheduled to begin on March 1st, 2013. Click here to view and enroll in her Advanced C++ Programming for Robots course.

Our program harness the huge vulume of instructional content of robotics in the open-source community and volunteer work by top-notch experts worldwide in robotics engineering, to deliver quality instructional content to our students.
Semester long courses and projects are created on our Google+ Community page. Students that are members of the cirles and faculty use the discussion forum to complete course goals. We use Google+ Hangout on Air for video conference between members of our faculty and students; we use Google+ for posting information of our robotics projects to the public and students' discussion forum; Google circle is used for organizing students into project teams; Google doc form is used for application form for admission; additionally, we use youtube for instruction and promotional video. Creating events with Google + events feature enable us to broadcast our handout on Air and directly to our youtube channel.
Open Robotics University applied to participate in National Robotics Initiative. The foundation’s goal is to “accelerate the development and use of robots in the United States that work beside, or cooperatively with people”. To meet this goal we have adopted Kawada industries’ HRP-4 Robotics platform for research to build our robot ORU-NRI Robot (Open Robotics University National Robotics Initiative Robot).
Specs for ORU-NRI Robot Below - Let's Build.
* Structure: Plastic robot cover and aluminum alloy frame * The robot should be about 6ft tall and weighs about 160 pounds. * 34 Degrees of freedom – Leg X 6, Neck X 2, Chest X2, Arm X 7, Hand X 2. * Vision sensor: Head or hand camera. * Control CPU: CPU: Pentium M (1.6 GHz PCI-104; OS. * OS: Linux (+RT-Preemt patch)/ OpenRTM-aist. * Communication: LAN 10/100 base-TX (1port) / Wireless LAN IEEE802.11a/b/g. * Device: Stereo Speakers.
